President Tinubu Orders Release of Minors Detained in #EndBadGovernance Protests

President Bola Tinubu has mandated the immediate release of all minors arrested during the recent #EndBadGovernance protests, according to Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris. The announcement was made during a briefing with State House correspondents on Monday.Idris confirmed that the President has directed Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi to expedite the release process. “All minors are to be reunited with their families nationwide,” he stated, adding that a committee has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding their arrest and detention.The President also instructed the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to provide welfare support for the minors and facilitate their reunion with guardians.
