In recent sports news, Super Eagles' striker, Victor Osimhen, has successfully cleared doping tests during the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire. The Napoli forward, known for his exceptional stamina and commitment to his team, underwent multiple doping tests following his impressive performances at the tournament.

Despite scoring a single goal and providing two assists in the Eagles' last four AFCON games, Osimhen's overall team contribution has been widely praised. The reigning African Player of the Year, recognized for his extraordinary display in Nigeria's 1-0 win over Guinea-Bissau on January 22, faced doping scrutiny due to the intensity of his efforts.

Initial reports suggested that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the tests after Nigeria's 2-0 victory over Cameroon on January 27. However, recent clarifications indicate that the tests were carried out post the Super Eagles' game against Guinea-Bissau.
